　人活在世，总难免遭受生老病死、爱别离、怨憎会、五阴炽盛等痛苦的折磨。痛苦，对于每个人来说并不陌生，今生正在遭受的苦果，皆来自过去所种下的苦因，未来若不想继续在痛苦中煎熬，现在就要种下幸福快乐的因。种殊胜之因，必将收获殊胜之乐果。

　　People living in this world always suffer from the torture of afflictions such as birth, senility, illness and death, love parting （priya-viyoga）， association with unfavorable persons and things, and flaming five aggregates （pañca-skandhas）。 Suffering is not strange to everyone at all, and the bitter fruits one is suffering from in this world all come from the bitter causes he or she sowed in the previous life. If one wants to stop the suffering or torture in future, he or she should sow the cause leading to happiness. Sowing the excellent seed （cause） will certainly receive the ultimate fruition of happiness.
